    1. Ya, it's getting late. I'll keep taking draft selections tonight, but I did say we would close at 10pm so no harm if there are not anymore tonight.

  6. Some ground rules.
Today, I will grant a 2hr time limit to draft. You may draft out of order when I get your pick.
#25 Ty Daniels will also be #1 in the second round as we work our way back up the list and end with Chris Strangeman.
    Thanks!
    Eric

  8. Sent an e-mail a little bit ago. I am taking the 94 Indians.

Also looking for a 1911 Ty Cobb card. I have no sets older than 79.

    Thanks, Joe Schall

    2. Joe,
I was going to offer up a 1913 Ty Cobb.....but then I looked at his stats for 1911! WOW! That's going to be a tough out! Sorry 1913 is the only deadball set I have. If anyone else needs a 1913 card, I can bring the whole set.

    1. I'm a little surprised I got the '85 Cardinals that late....must be a lot of Cubs fans at this tourney. Although from 1970-2000, there really aren't a lot of good Cardinal teams. '82 and '87 were World Series teams, but those teams aren't great APBA teams. But I like the '85 team with the addition of 1913 Walter Johnson (A&B XZ). Should be a fun tournament!

  18. Of my top 20 ranked teams in this format, only 7 were taken (5 from the Daniels, along with the 1995 Indians and 1981 Dodgers). That being said, the margin between say the 13th best team and the 50th best team is pretty small. Certainly any of these teams are good enough win.
